DIGIHEALTH National Day at Damascus University August 29, 2021 Syria

Within the framework of the DIGIHEALTH project and under the patronage and presence of the President of the Damascus University, a National Seminar was organized on August 29, 2021 in Adnan Reda Saeed Hall at Damascus University. The seminar aimed to bring together academics, researchers, students and health workers to discuss how to improve the quality of health education in order to prepare well-qualified graduates who are able to adapt to a changing health care environment and meet societal expectations. The seminar was attended by the President of AIU, the President of the Pharmacists Syndicate in Syria, deans and representatives of health and medical faculties at Damascus University and Private Universities in Syria. The seminar began with a speech by the President of Damascus University, Prof. Osama Al-Jaban, who welcomed the participants, then the DIGIHEALTH contact person at the Arab International University presented the goals of Erasmus + CBHE and the goals of the DIGIHEALTH project, explaining that the strategic objectives related to modernizing teaching and learning methods in higher education institutions in Syria are relevant in line with the goal of the DIGIHEALTH project. The DIGIHEALTH contact person at the University of Damascus, Dr. Ammar Joukhadar, spoke about the center's goals, vision, and mission, while Dr. Jihad Hakim gave a briefing on the centers located at the University of Genova and the University of Santiago de Compostela. Which were visited by participants from Lebanon and Syria.
