Opening Ceremony of the National DIGIHEALTH Teaching Learning Center

Under the patronage and attendance of the President of the Lebanese University, Professor Bassam Badran, the National Digihealth Teaching & Learning Center ( NDTLC ) was inaugurated at the Faculty of Pharmacy - Lebanese University, Rafic Hariri University Campus, Hadath, as the milestone of DIGIHEALTH project. The ceremony was also attended by the project coordinator, Professor Mosad Zein El-Din from Linnaeus University in Sweden, representatives of the Lebanese universities partners in the project, Professor Sobhi - Dean of Student Affairs, Beirut Arab University, Professor Mohammad Rahal -Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Beirut International University ,Dr. Basem Qaissi-Vice President of International Relations at Modern University for Management and Science. The attendees from Syrian’s partners universities were Dr. Kinaz Al-Aytouni, Dr.Mazen Al-Haj from the Arab International University, Dr. Ammar Jokhdar and Dr. Jihad Al-Hakim from the Damascus University, and Professor Guido F. Amoretti and Dr. Diana Spulber from the University of Genoa-Italy, Dr. Ahmed Ghandour, an international auditor for assessing the quality of the project, the President of the Pharmacists Syndicate in Lebanon, Dr. Joe Salloum, founder and director of the Center (LFDCA), Dr. Nazih Bou Chahine, Deans and representatives of health and medical faculties at the Lebanese University and Private Universities in Lebanon . The ceremony was introduced by Dr. Rola Bouassi, a member of the Lebanese University's delegated committee for the project. The ceremony opened with the national Lebanese anthem and the Lebanese University anthem. The ceremony began with the speech of the Dean of the faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Assem ElKak, followed by the speech of the project coordinator, Professor Mosad Zein Al-Din, the President of the Lebanese University, Professor Bassam Badran, Dr. Inaam Nasrallah, Quality Coordinator at the Faculty of Pharmacy and representative of the delegated committee from the Lebanese University, with a brief presentation on the mission, objectives and program of the Center and a speech from the Syndicate of Pharmacists Dr.Salloum. The ceremony was concluded with a presentation on the center equipment and programs for digital education by the head of the Syndicate of Educational Technology in Lebanon and the representative of company’s provider, Captain Rabie Baalbaki. After the speeches ended, the attendees visited the faculty of Pharmacy to unveil the curtain and inaugurate the National Center, during which a practical presentation was given by the Captain Rabie Baalbaki at the center site and included the use the digital E-learning equipment.
